These Are 5 Songs I Like

Always Like This | Bombay Bicycle Club

I listened to this song on repeat for a solid three weeks when I walked to class.  It made me want to play the bass, but then I remembered that I have freakishly tiny fingers, so I settled on wanting to learn the ukelele instead.  This song also tricked me into thinking I can play the drums because I would air-drum on the way to class.  While I've now come to terms with the fact that I drop drumsticks too often to become a professional drummer, I'm fairly confident I would fit in really well with Bombay Bicycle Club as soon as I get a black, wide-brim, floppy hat and high-waisted paisley shorts.

Round Here | Counting Crows

I began speaking full sentences at the age of ten months.  It was probably a terrifying experience for anyone that did not expect the phrase "Mom, don't forget to use your coupons" come from the mouth of a small child in a shopping cart who barely had any hair.  I was weird.  Anyway, when "August and Everything After" came out in 1993, I could talk and comprehend things and basically spent a lot of time singing Counting Crows (and also memorizing every line, word-for-word, of "The Lion King."  Seriously, I was a freak).  I can't remember a time that I didn't know every lyrics to every song on that album because my family listened to it so much and it makes me feel like home.

Kiss You | One Direction

Have you seen the music video?  Because we watch it, like, eight times a night in the design pod at the DN.
Also, the lyric video uses St. Marie font.  So, that's a thing.

Blood Bank | Bon Iver

This song makes me sad in a happy way.  It's a very confusing feeling.  It also might be the only Bon Iver song where I can actually understand what he's singing.  So, that's kinda neat.

Airplanes | Local Natives

Local Natives was, hands down, the best concert I have ever been to in my entire life.  My best friend, Allie, hates Local Natives and I will spend the rest of my existence trying to get her to appreciate their music, or at least that guy's mustache because, seriously, he probably spent a lot of time growing it and it is stellar.
