Hey There, I’m Jennifer!
Currently, I’m the senior designer at Amazon News.
Before that, I was the art director at NBC where I oversaw the visuals team for TODAY Digital. My team created and commissioned illustrations and photography for the website as well as TODAY’s multiple social channels, brands and programs. Some of our original and assigned photography, illustration and design work can be viewed on Instagram at @nbcnewsart.
Prior to NBC, I graduated from Ball State University with a degree in journalism graphics. In school, I was a visuals reporter for the Chicago Tribune during the London and Sochi Olympics, where I created and conceptualized in-depth information graphics. After college, I spent six months as an editorial designer at The Boston Globe before moving to New York to work for TIME. At TIME, I designed cover packages, special issues, features and department pages as well as multimedia content that helped translate the print product across their digital and social media platforms.
When I’m not working, I’m usually en route to a dance cardio class (I’m trying to hit 1000 305 Fitness classes this year!), reading one of many checked-out library books (find my one-sentence reviews of books I’ve read here!), singing Carly Rae Jepsen songs very, very off-key in my Brooklyn apartment (apologies to my neighbors, who can without a doubt hear me through the walls!) or chasing my chaotic cat, Olive.
